We really need some more stuff in here to clear the starboard. Right now it's rchern, bad jokes, whining, meta-stars, and Angry Birds (yeah, that sidebar is so stale Angry Birds was still a thing).
@LaszloPapp It is. @Chacha102 originally created the Tavern on the Meta (or so it is said in the tales passed down through the ages, anyway). Not to mention that the room summary looks like a really old Meta Tavern summary.

@LaszloPapp Don't get emotional. There is nothing that prevents you from answering if the question is open. At the same time, not everybody would agree that it's a good or valid question to ask.
@Tom If you want further explanation of why the question is not good enough (or if you'd like the community to re-evaluate) take it to meta.stackoverflow.com and ask what you can do to improve it. A question I asked on SO was closed and voted for deletion. I couldn't understand why, and the downvoters / voters for closing told me to take it to Meta, so here I am.

I don't understand why every SO clone is mostly low in features and often quality :/ I mean no chat, no spam filter, no eyecandy moderation tool and so on..if Jeff Atwood was the one cloning he would have done it way better ha!
I was not doing anything that was against the rules of the room. There was nothing like that in the rules for that room. I posted the question link for CV not any SPAM (Advertising any thing of my android app or so anything related to that)
All I told you is that it's completely unnecessary when those questions are well on their way to closure anyway. So much so that when visiting seconds after you posting them, they are closed already.
@TGMCians this is really not worth a long discussion. I said what I said. And all I am is a simple user. If there are any problems with my behaviour, flag it. Ask moderators to look into it. That's all. I'd say you need some thicker skin, but that's just me.

Yeah, it's a judgment call. I generally try not to post links to questions that I feel are well on their way to closure, and are in tags that get a lot of traffic.

@devnull Promotes? It was essentially created as a reaction to laziness, or perhaps changing habits if one wishes to be generous:

@devnull Something to remember is that for many authors, questions are nothing more than a jumping-off point, a stub they can fill in with something they know but didn't realize others were interested in. They're not carefully evaluating each question to see if it meets some abstract notion of quality, or judging whether or not it "deserves" their answer; either the question offers a reason to write about something they love, or it doesn't.
Which is... Kinda ok. At the end of the day, the answers are what matter. You don't cut open a pearl and discard it if the sand isn't up to your standards.
