When will SO stop wasting real estate of my screen by having static width layout? EDIT It would be very interesting to hear how does Joel, being UI specialist, feel about this. JoelOnSoftware site has fluid layout...

Anyway, I'd just say think of think of this one thing: will your feature help other people use the site? If yes, sure, propose it. If not, think hard about it. Is it that important?

Putting random things here and there just because hampers UX, not enhances it.

I'm kind-of "meh" on rounded corners. Fine if they're there, fine if they aren't.

@michaelb958 Thanks for providing that, because I personally think SO has a perfect design, and you cant match everyone's needs

[Off-topic] Because I'm an apple developer, and to match their needs, I had to read the UI and was able to locate the text in that link :P I actually only read it after my first 3 apps got rejected

Personally, I'm a fan of having the topbar stick to the top, so I can quickly refer to the things on it. That's just my opinion, though.

@michaelb958 yep, I actually once made a style that fixed the top bar, found it annoying, and deleted it, although some people could find it useful. (it was just topbar { position:fixed} or something :P)

(Stupid beta sites only work with margin-top.)
