Q: jQuery display only pure HTML in HTML excluding htmlentities

JasI'm currently displaying posts from my database, and this is an example of the 'message' field in my database. @RobSchmuecker I'm using .append() and they'll display as html anyway.

@RobSchmuecker This is weird. jsfiddle shows it working the way I want it to be, but when I run it on my site, it's showing the user-inputted HTML. Any idea why?

You can try and console.log(this.content) and see what's actually being sent? Also try a console.log(data)

but I did do a htmlentities() for the user-input

AH ok, perhaps there's something in the get function that is autmatically encoding it?! have a look in the network tab of your debugger and see the raw response you're getting from the server

I had a piece of code below (that converts youtube links to youtube embeds)

Yes I work for myself from home! I choose when I work! So yes i'm working at the moment but sometimes do a stint on SO! It's a great differentiator when people come to hiring you and you have a decent SO profile in my opinion too.
You also learn a lot.
