I think you just use the one connection to access both. As long as the host contains both databases.

Well if you are using a service like network solutions, when you create a new database it drops it onto open spot on their mysql server so I think they have to be in the same realm. So the one maybe be in mysql08 and the other in mysql03 and I think then they won't work. They would both have to inhabit the same realm.

how do i solve that? can i just ask them to solve that? i may try.

Well I am not 100% sure how to do that because every time you create a new database it throws it into a different realm randomly as best I can tell. Anyway, hopefully you can get it to work or you will have to do multiple db connections simultaneously.

Interesting, well in that case, the other DB may need to have the same login/pass as the one you use for your main DB
