oh, I've never done dev on Linux. I was a masochistic linux user for years, trying to learn CLI and stuff. Recently I'm working as a localization engineer for a company who does stuff for Suse Linux Enterprise

so I'm contributing in it somewhat (in an industrial way!)

but my husband works on XEmacs

and he's moved to Mac from Linux, just because he can still do the same unix stuff, and mac is nicer to use in some aspects

well, linux is more robust, more stable and more professional I'd have to say

I do iphone development

but I'd say linux is better than windows in most of things

Java has been always there with its market and stuff

usually it doesn't matter what you do

what matters is to start doing something and stay on it

I switched to a game testing job because of that reason and because of the stress

you should find your way and master in one thing

I was supposed to make an iphone app for a newspaper and I didn;t know even a single word of dev nor ios dev

my boss was an idiot and he wanted it in two weeks!

i had a horrible time in that company, but i also learnt a lot

and of course could never finish it in two weeks because it was impossible for a beginner and they knew this

I had no one to help me

there was only me for iphone dev
