I've followed the randommusicplayer example from the android sdk examples, and I've tried to create my own. Almost everything is working great.. The problem is that when I call next or previous, it changes the path to the song and starts playing it. I want to check to see if the player was paused, and if so, if next is called it should just load the song, and not play it
It's not as complicated as it sounds I swear!
But I don't know what to move out of my playSong() method, so that I can have one method to prepare the path and display it, and another to go ahead and play it.
I fear that asking on SO will get my question closed as it's too specific..
and the reason I think it won't help others, is because I think this is more a concept question.. Not a specific issue with coding.. I'm a beginner, and I'm just looking for the right way to do it.. I would have to post a lot of code, and the only people who will look at the question would be the ones trying to answer it. I've been in trouble for such questions in the past1
@LalitPoptani although if you think otherwise, maybe I should post it... The problem is I need a bit more help than usual..
But, I was thinking I should have one method for prepare, which sets it up and gets it ready to play, and another for play.. But I'm struggling in separating the stuff out of the playSong method..
@LalitPoptani that's a good idea, the only thing is I'm having trouble implementing it. At what stage in playSong should the flow path change depending on that boolean?

@LalitPoptani I think that's the best advice you could give me. I'll draw it up on paper, and then I'll be able to see what's going on, and what I need etc..

I want to start an application which stores the downloaded items such as books,music,movies in my application since downloading an app from google play wont support with security constraints is it possible to approach?
The Items like books,music,movies will be downloaded from GOOGLE PLAY..those should be stored in my application..Please suggest me is it possible or not?

In my app i used this code File DirectoryPath = cw.getDir("custom", Context.MODE_PRIVATE); while creating directory, and it returns
/data/data/com.custom/app_custom.
So my question is why this app_ appears along with directory name. I know its default, but what actually it means,

@LalitPoptani ok..one more thing, using getDir i am able to create a directory, but not able to get any clue regarding how to create subDirectory using getDir..it is given in my question, if u know can u show me how that can be done
