@LalitPoptani i am downloading video files by using async task and progress bar ..it works fine ...the problem is if i move to another application ( change the activity) and again come back to my downloading activity than progress bar disappears..but downloading is still going on in background...just my progress bar not showing when i come back to app

Its obvious that when you move to another Activity your Progres Dialog will be destroyed.

so you have to restart it
