i am having doubt in android

i having recyclerview with multiple items which get data from user.when validate that works fine ,but request focus cursor on particular field seems problem

can any one help me?

asynctask is not connected to activity lifecycle

will be displayed

but

Toast.makeText(activity,etName.getText().toString, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();

will give exception

cos the activity is destroyed

no...if field is empty,it should say 'need to fill that field' and cursor should go to that filed as editable

so you need to check if(edittext.getText().toString().isEmpty()){edittext.requestFocus();}

here position means gridview's or whatever u have used position

    u have only one textview in row so if you click on 5th position then parent.getChildAt(5).setBackgroundColor(Color.RED);
 then it will try to find the 5th element in ur row which is not present thats why you got NPE

instead of passing a arraylist of string pass an arraylist of object in that pojo keep one String and one boolean flag for handling click event depending upon condition set view's background

also a tip try to use viewholder pattern @NiravRanpara

Service - It is running in UI thread, so u want to run server call or io operation or any async operation (Blocking operation) the use asynctask inside service.

Intent Service - It is running on worker thread, so that no need to create async task inside the Intent service for blocking operation

Hello. I am sending a bitmap image from Android to php server through POST. Any idea who to receive (save) that image on server side???? php group couldnt help. I guess Androidians will. :)

But I am successfully sending text data from Android to my server and saving it to my database. I am facing issues when it comes to sending images

send stream from android client and get that stream on pho server in your php function and write image at some location, by default it will in tomcat

or the another option for you to convert your image in base 64 like in this tut, and save that string in db

same string you can return when user ask for image

Yes I have already converted it to base64 and sending it to server. But I am failing to getting the image on server side
