Hum, anyone know why I some times have problems tagging users when commenting on stuff on SO? Strange thing is that on the same page it may work for some users but not for others.
Use
// it will be an array('name' => 'John', 'password_hash' => 'abcd')
// or FALSE if user not found
$storedUser = $query->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);
instead of
$username = $query->fetchColumn(1);
$pw = $query->fetchColumn(2);
Because fetchColumn moves cursor of result. So first call extract...
Oh, I see. If you want to tag someone who owns a post, and if nobody else except you and the OP commented, they won't appear in the autocomplete, because tagging is unnecessary.
