I have a very straightforward question, and for the life of me can't find a definitive answer on SO or the internets at large: Does each statement in LESS have to end with a semi-colon ;, or is it optional - i.e., is a newline enough? I'm fairly sure they're not required in SASS and/or Stylus, but I'm particularly concerned about LESS.

Trouble is, I'm not actually in a place where I can try it and find out, I'm just doing some planning for work later. Every single example I've seen has semi-colons, so I'm guessing they're necessary, I've just never seen it in any docs...

@BoltClock i dont even know why they wasted time on it. its been nothing but a headache. you have people using it for non-web languages, and it only half works. its also terrible to try and debug with: i always have to create a fiddle anyway

You need to use it with bootstrap libraries. Thats more design based than angular based

oh I forgot . was for string concat in php, php authors were really high when making this language, why not using + like all other languages

and of course -> for object property since they used the . Did they change thhat in php7? (fuck backward compat)

As for why it doesn't work, the browser doesn't lie. You've asked for dummy.json in some relative URL, but that dummy.json doesn't exist at the location you specified.
