I'm trying to get postgresql working on local with node :(

lots of errors, then realize that I need to download the bloody thing from its site, then more errors, then realize I need python ...

you will need python anyway because of node-gyp

yea I just realized it, tho' I managed to download like over 20 node modules without needing python

this is my sunday anyway haha

those that need compiling will use node-gyp to compile - which requires python

and more errors, god dammet.

hello. I need help with HTACCESS file.
I want all the subfolders to be accessable by a subdomain with the same name,
using wildcard subdomain. I mean if you'll enter `hello.domain.com`, you'll see
what's in `domain.com/hello`.

it's done via .htaccess or httpd.conf if you serve images statically, or using php's header() if images are served via php

does anybody know how to get .htaccess to work on MAMP? I tried for ages yesterday but could never get it to work.

well I was trying to do just a normal redirect and nothing was happening. My .htaccess file was in the root folder, inside it I had Redirect /test/ http://localhost:8888/index.php but when I went to http://localhost:8888/test/ I kept getting 404 errors

Did you check the error log?

I'm on a different computer at the moment but I think so and I don't think there was anything but I will double check when I get home. But it seemed like it wasn't even checking for a .htaccess file, do I have to enable it somewhere?

Check the AllowOverride directive

In http.conf? Yea I tried changing that from Off to All but it didn't seem to change anything.

Did you restart the webserver after that change?

You could make it with CSS and some neat JS library to make the highlighting.
