you might have the Runtime Edition (JRE) not the dev

so if you don't have java.exe you need the JDK

which is the mysql connector for java, like jdbc thingie

yours will be a little more modern

when you get it

then go into mysql and create a schema called so_gibberish

...

and run in it:

I actually got the script to work

with python that is

i realized that, what I thought was it failing to execute in my try catch statement, was actually just a misplaced print in a for loop

I do still wanna see how this Java stuff works though

not a fan of java but I should at least know how to properly get it working with mysql..
