Yeah no problem. If we look at the fiddle I created:
I only want to query the second table if a certain criteria is met on the first table.

So i want to check if the number is even if so then show me how to spell the number.

The results I'm expecting from the fiddle are:
1,1,ODD,ONE

so you need to mix these numbers up in the input starting point so I can understand where these numbers are coming from. Because you query is doing a select that has 3 columns

I got what i need.

I was over doing with the CASE. And miss understood your answer.

I will use the LEFT JOIN syntax to filter down what I need instead of trying trough an CASE/IF statement.
