the mobile web isn't an OS for a phone

it's in web pages that are displayed on phones

it is possible to develop mobile-specific web pages, and have them function similarly on different smartphone platforms

so is it not that this mobile Facebook some sort of a web page? I mean, I can access the mobile version in a browser

And just as a counter idea - if you want to be supported out of the box on both you probably want to just develop a mobile website.

Ygam: Yes, Facebook mobile is mainly just a mobile-optimized website

the apps for iOS/Android don't do very much

but Facebook for iPhone or Facebook for Android are native mobile apps

I would not call Facebook for iOS or Android a "simple" app! There is probably a lot more to it than you realise!

Ok i am elobrating my understanding . Service will be started in first activity. When leaving that first activity, i need to check weather player is in play state, so not close service... when again my player started i need to check somthing in service(How?)... to resume or likewise?

JRC, you can share data between your service and activity with a singleton, or SharedPreferences

both the service and the activity can run at the same time

i have used listview, but i cannot add more items

i have used thread to add item to adapter, but it make my app crash

android market is close source :D

i have distanced myself from using listview, it just gives me headaches. i have settled with using scrollview and a combination of linearlayout/relativelayout for my list items.

I am new to android. I have downloaded eclipse classic 3.5 galileo package and ADT. I have also downloaded all the android platforms and the documentation using android download manager. Now if I just copy the Eclipse and Android folder to another pc, will it run there, or will I have to install it again?
