Anyone having idea for how to implement loading animation with images with five small round images initially in normal state and after 3 sec first image will get change as in active state. After 3 second second image and so on.
after 5th image again all the images becomes normal and same process starts

I need some hint plzz. if anyone

From a background service, I am starting an activity when certain condition become true. when I finish it, my app is being displayed. while it should not. The app last opened should be shown after finishing activity. Any hints?

you should do that background things directly in the service not in an activity

Actually, I am making app locker. Service in background checks if app to be locked is in foreground. If yes, then it starts an activity that takes code input. If I try to dismiss that activity by calling finish(), that locked app should be shown.

Instead, my locker app opens up

okay in that case you need to observe app starts in your service... then you start from the service the locker app.

yeah sure... you just have to call on your service startActivity(yourIntent); while your intent must have the flag newTask

@iAnum you don't need to restart the service as often AFIK, that should be very bad for performance too. just check that current app in a kind of loop if there is nothing better

@rekire I was doing that before. This is not suitable algo in my case since service can be killed anytime by OS. and I want to keep check on apps for good

@iAnum normally you should have some callbacks if your app is crashed of if the service will been shutdown, so you can handle that

I am trying to get location with GPS OFF and WIFI ON but it always returns 0.0 in 5.0.2(Lollipop). isn't possible to get location with GPS OFF in lollipop??

when you use this inside listener, it picks context of clickListener instead of MainActivity

and hence the error you are getting

Q: Getting TypeNotPresentException followed by ClassNotFoundException or NoClassDefFoundError on All android versions except android L

I am getting very interesting bug in one of my apps. My app is working fine on android L, But as soon as i try to run it on other android versions, I am getting ClassNotFoundException or NoClassDefFoundError while trying to call web services using Retrofit, even though all those classes are exist...
