@KetanAhir AFIK proguard can handle to remove something like that Log.d("foo", "bar") but it cannot remove Log.d("advanced", "time is " + System.currentTimeInMillies());

Here comes the reason: the compiler makes form the second example this code: Log.d("advanced", new StringBuilder().append("time is ").append(System.currentTimeInMillies()).toString()); and that is too complex for proguard

I think the real reason is that proguard cannot know what to do with that StringBuilder since it could have some side effect which may break everything if the log is removed

You can not directly set alpha value to BitMap I guess.

But instead you can use Paint with Canvas to apply alpha to Bitmap.

first i am going 2 one fragment. in its onPause(), i'm taking SS as a bitmap. now i have 2 change the transparency of this resultant image and set it as a bg in another fragment.

Hi. I have a snippet of Java code that Eclipse shows as an error and I would like to understand why:

Eclipse wants to change this to

The error is "Multiple markers at this line - Syntax error on token "Invalid Character", delete this token"
