Q: How to combine overlapping ImageView, FrameLayout & RelativeLayout programatically?

i need to combine 3 layouts the bottom is ImageView, above it there is a FrameLayout and above it there is a RelativeLayout. The ImageView takes the picture from camera. The FrameLayout is used to draw lines(PaintView). The RelativeLayout is used to drag small images to the screen from the side...

@ErumHannan your parent layout is FrameLayout so it's all the vides for card type. Your purpose add one by one so i think the parent layout RelativeLayout or LinearLayout.

I'm using the PublisherAdView and that control writes many debug informations about the ad states in the logcat so look into there it meight be helpful

well yes I would use in that case indeed a button with the transparent button style to give the user click feedback

that's a little about UX nether than which element should I use... in general multiple elements can been replaces by each other e.g. I replaced one time a toggle button with a radiobutton^^ the result looked still the same :D

no the performance does not matter for static non fast changing content, well even in a listview that would not metter as long you use viewholders

however the whole picture should give feedback on touch events...

@anupamaJ DB operations are bulky, depending on how many times you are trying to open connections. if you use insert statements 1000 times, it opens connection 1000 times, which is considered as bulky !

Here the executeBatch opens the connection just once

if you don't like the code and have the flexibility of using JPA/Hibernate , you can do it using one single line of code

If it is, then add a integer flag variable in the model class which value will be either 0 or 1. by default set it 0. and in case of clicked on any radiobutton of a particular item , set its flag value 1 and for rest set 0 and update the adapter by calling notifyDataSetChanged @Anjali
