@Appu e.g. I know now that the minimum update interval is 30 minutes even if you have to define that interval in ms. you need to work with remoteviews, and you cannot use drawables only resources or bitmaps

I extracted the sourcecode from the sdk and put it into my project

it works fine so far, just some things are annoying... like that it is not compatible to normal adapters and that you cannot figger out (without hacks) which items are currently displayed
