@JohanLarsson Solved my performance issue by replacing my use WrapPanel with VirtualizingWrapPanel from this answer
reduced layouting time of a ListView with 6000 elements from 20 seconds to less than one second
it required all the items to be of the same size, which was the case for me

@Maverik I think I've got a solution for my problem, but would like to know if it's a no-go.
If I use VSTO to collect my data from Excel it takes about 1min. If I use OleDB it takes like 2secs. So I thought about using OleDB to collect everything and write it into my DataTable. Afterwards I use VSTO to collect the Hyperlinks (as OleDB cant do that) from my Excel file, create a new column ("Links") and add it to the DataTable. Works like a charm and it just takes about 5secs.
What do you think about that solution?
