I remeber the end of the first year at Uni, it was chaos as all the people who spend the entire year copying people who could code had no idea how to finish the final projects

In lab sessions, partnering a experienced coder with a newbie is bad news for the newbiw.

You got to put effort in with coding, and if you don't get something you need to keep at it otehrwise you will never get it

i didn't even know what OOP was before i started Uni

took me a while to get my head round that back in the day

I got 1st's on all my coursework but crap grades in exams

still didn't matter in the long term

Yeah, in practice everything here is tough though, even if the points on the syllabus seem like things I've done. At least, I feel it will be this way based off this week.

The equation isn't the problem here, he just doesn't even use it right.

It gives you a scale from 1.0 - 0 depending how far you are from the center of a rectangle.

All he needs to do is supply the frame of the rectangle and the coordinate of the point, and it will do it for him.

I am learning so much

In 1 day, my app went from going above 200mb and crashing on a 4S to being smooth and running at 40mb

Tip: don't store UIImage's in a cache, store NSPergeableData. Also if you are blurring an image or displaying a smaller version, scale it down since detail won't matter

Also in Core Data, if you only need 1 property don't fetch the entire class! lol, I fetched every show object just to get the traktID property.

Also, kind of a solution but also not. If your app does not rotate, use frames instead of autolayout

In a few places I just set the frame of the background images because its equal to the width of the cell. later Ill probably go back to auto layout because iPad multitasking but still
