Just moved priorities around, it is due to a iOS bug still, iOS sets a width on the keyboard and it thinks the constraints want the views to be bigger than the keyboards width, and so you have to set priorities less than 1000. I forget where but in applications it does something to one of the views as well (scroll views probably?) and you have to set priority to 999 for it to work

There are lots of ways to cause errors with constraints.

What kind of view? Just a generic UIView?

OK, changing my constraints to have 0 for the constant produces no errors now, (as far as i know, doesn't print them every time:/)

but if i change them to reasonable numbers, it gives errors.

I have a UIView, for the test I made the superview have a height of 40 and a width of 30, on each side should be 2.5 spacing, on top and bottom should be 5 spacing

and it has errors, now if the view is a width of 5 then ya that would be kinda strange, but with a width of 30 it should be a width of 20 inside? Why is it giving so many errors:OOOOO

Not related to your problem but it's best to avoid placing UI elements on half-pixel positions. It causes blurry looking rendering on non-retina devices

I've been working in Mac OS for the last month and a half (For a client) after several years doing almost all iOS.

Make your view 1 point narrower and use 3 point space on either side instead of 2.5 It looks quite bit better.

to fix getting erros I have to make a constraint variable and set its priority

to 999, because  added a UIView-Encapsulated-Layout-Height

I don't use any widths, the 30 was for example because I didn't want to see 1000 errors, so i had to disable all the other views which disables the automatic width spacing. with it enabled I have no idea the widths of buttons

It's actually kind of interesting from an engineering POV just because it has the same travel as a normal key but it's actually much smaller than other switches from the same period, so the keyboards made with it aren't as tall as, say, a Model M.
