So there has been a lot of hype in my area about a solar eclipse in August. Today I just learned that the eclipse spans the whole continent. Don't know why I never considered that before.
But with the rotation of the earth and motion of the moon and sun, it makes sense that the moon's shadow will move relative to the surface of the earth.
I have read a lot about cosmology. Black holes, dark matter, etc.
And you had to put in requests to image about 12 different things over the semester and then track them, analyse them, predict what they are, read star charts and so on
New Zealand has very few roads leading to places. Most cases, you have to take a 10x longer route than straight flight because you have to drive around mountains
Roughly 50% of our time will be lost to driving
If we had about 2x our trip length, we could do a great trip
At this point, I can say with reasonable arrogance that if you throw a reasonable software problem at me I can figure it out in a reasonable amount of time
