with sideload from the default recovery I can only install officially signed stuff

so I can't even install a better recovery image

no, sadly you can only install OTA updates, not complete firmwares with sideload

not really, I would need to be able to write to the internal memory directly to flash something on it

so unless I find some magic way to write there, I can't do shit with it

"luckily" the nexus 10 wasn't in use that often anymore plus it is a old device (4 years?)

LOL, I create a new project in Android Studio and build it. It took 2m 26s for the gradle build. Definitely need an SSD.

The telegram code on github is quite ugly also

We use it for our informal work chat. Not sure if the encryption is really that secure

I trust whatsapp even less though.

@RED_ that's not about how Telegram sucks or rocks. It's about Facebook which does ugly things to harm competitors

@Ahmad I guess, it's "bad" because it's heavily optimized for performance

like, for example, eschewing Layouts and creating custom optimized Views for every item in the list views and stuff

The problem is, several weeks back, someone said "If we did this with the in house system we'll get all these benefits and it'll be done by the end of the week". I said, "Okay, if it's done by the end of the week, do it, I don't know enough about the system to be aware of it's downsides but I trust you know it better than me".

It's 4 weeks later, and someone not privvy to that conversation is saying "Well we all know git won't work and it was a stupid idea compared to using our method". Which was when he started talking slowly to me like a child :P

as in, project finished, needed a couple of days to create a form to start the process off.

4 weeks later and they are still fighting over reasons why their system won't work. Annoying.

Warren - I'm going to memorise that terms so I can say it to people here. Testing team just decided to test the iOS app rather than the Android app - completely breaking the time management because they like iOS better.
