Maybe he will want you to have silly English text in the Portuguese version later. It is still bound to that one locale, so switching to another one doesn't seem like the best solution.
Hmmm. So we have to restore the fragments layout manually, then Android restores things into that layout for us. So we were setting the view pager to 0, then Android was saying HA FUCK YOU and restoring layout into it.

hey folks, a little help here. I'm calling getResources().getBoolean(R.bool.isTablet) to check if my app is running on a tablet rather than a phone. returns true. Next, I call setRequestedOrientation(ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_SENSOR_LANDSCAPE); to use a landscape layout for tablet.
so far so good. the problem is that the layout being loaded is not the landscape, and because of that, some of the UI elements are "missing", causing a NPE
