No, it's on google photos. And i have it on sdcard too. google photos itself (without the intent) lets you see your sdcard photos
but for some reason when it gets called by the pick intent I can only choose the "online" version

Sarge: Have a look here developers.google.com/android/nexus/images - The pages aren't very well written, you usually have to follow links around to get the whole story
But it does give you some idea of how to flash different images to different areas of your device.
Plus, if you own a Nexus, It's a great place to practice flashing with little chance of bricking your device.

What's is the advantage of doing that or scaling the image down by it's factor? I mean if I have an image 4000x4000 and I want the max width I want for example is 3999x3999 it will be scaled down to 2000x2000. That doesn't make that much sense.

I always assumed nobody would ever find an app that started out as paid only, but maybe you just need to find a niche.

you can write it to disk like any other file, but it's up to the user to have an app installed to read it
(unless you ship with your own pdf reader in the app...)

the problem is finding PDF reader that can do this

download it to a temp file, start an intent to view with an application type of pdf - and let the user pick the pdf reader - which most likely would be adobe

Ah, you might want to read up on which intents you can send to the Adobe reader, maybe they support it if you pass them a URL and they can read linearized pdfs?

If they're not linearized, or web optimized, how are you going to stream it partially? Sounds like it's a requirement of the document itself, in addition to support from the client library.
From the quick google I did, you need an optimized PDF, a server that can download in byte ranges, and a reader to support it - or do I misunderstand that?

Actually you don't , , you understand it perfectly ,MuPdf still not supporting the linearized PDFs ,
Apparently those are the only solutions available
couldn't find any other solution
