"Frédéric" in java converted to FrÃ©dÃ©ric. However i need to pass the proper string to my client. How to achieve this in Java ?

Did tried String a = "FrÃ©dÃ©ric"; String b = new String(a.getBytes(), "UTF-8");

However string b also contain same value as a. I am expecting string should able to store value as : "Frédéric" How to pass this value properly to client.

Can someone please answer this ?

that's because strings are always utf-16, like I said in the comment to your question. So "FrÃ©dÃ©ric".getBytes() does not quite do what you think.

Oh, and also see Piet's answer. That's a problem I have seen many times

In any case, people are a bit unsure what you are actually asking. (all the answers being to different problems makes that quite obvious, even if icza had not explicitly asked for clarification).

I am continue working on Android today

My future plan is create web services in Another Machine which contact DB directly and fetch data via webservice to Android Device.

1-2 months required complete this scenario for me i think :))

Because i dont work with web services and Android yet. 0 to 100 job for me

Anyone know how to give more RAM to Eclipse with a startup argument? I'm tired of it lagging..

Yeah, I'm using Windows as a workspace atm.

maybe increase priority useful in windows for eclipse.exe

Default is Normal i just checked

I dont know maybe it is using for CPU

But that's the access priority. I'm looking at an address here, it doesn't really help.

try editing the eclipse.ini file

I've looked in there. I'm not sure what arguments to add though.

and -Xmx1024m seems good enuf

though you can increase it to 1500m as well

At least Eclipse isn't written in Java so I don't have to worry about hotswapping memory :)

so in turn increasing the memory allocation of eclipse
