You might need to call .make(attrs.binding.variables)

I think attrs.binding.variables will throw NPE as attrs.binding is null

attrs.binding was null because binding was null in the GSP ! If you call your tag with delegate instead, it shouldn't be (so doing: <myTagLib:loadTemplate binding="${delegate}" />

so I tried it and this expression does not work: <a href="${createLink(action: 'list')}">my link</a>

I will try to replace it with sth available in the delegate

so I cannot find out a way how to evaluate the taglibs correctly in this case. I check all the variables available but none of them are suitable for this. I also passed ${this} in the GSP, but it seems to be the same as ${delegate}
