Here's a fun one
so I created new table, 3 columns, and I'm now trying to insert some test data
CREATE TABLE pr.ATTRIBUTE_PREDEFINED_LIST
(
ListID int identity(1,1) CONSTRAINT PK_PredefList PRIMARY KEY,
ListName varchar(100),
comment varchar(250)
) ON [PRIMARY]
then I go to insert like this...
INSERT INTO pr.Attribute_Predefined_List(ListName, Comment)
VALUES('Bogus Test List', 'test list')
which throws error "Cannot insert explicit value for identity column...."
which I'vve seen before and understand, but I'm not trying to insert in an identity column, so WTF?
SQL Server 2008 R2 if it matters

identrify is ListID
although....
I think its not this insert... I think its a trigger to a history table...
