@RahmathullahMPulikkal DATEVALUE() is an Excel function - are you trying to hit SQL with this? SELECT MAX(SomeField) as sno FROM SomeTable GROUP BY CAST(SomeOtherField AS DATE)

I posted a question but I am wondering how to write a SQL statement. Trying to figure out if a condition exists and then run a set of SQL scripts if condition is true. Otherwise run another set if it is false. so here is what I have so far IF Exists(Select source FROM Map WHERE rev_num =(SELECT MAX(rev_num) FROM map)
