Q: Constantly scanning for new files in R working directory

Andrew HopenIs there any way to make R continuously scan the working directory for new files (in this case, CSVs), and whenever it finds a new file has been added to the wd, to read it in and perform some (always the same) tasks on it, and then go back to scanning for new files, until I tell it to stop?

Folks simply reinvent OS-level tasks ... because i) they don't know any better or ii) they are on crappy OS.
Prime example: all those craptastic packages for sending mail from R.
