I am trying to upload a file to an api using ajax. But am having trouble.

I am using jQuery's ajax method like so:

var formdata = formdata.append('images', this.files[0]);

$.ajax({
url: "http://localhost/s3_api/public/images",
contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8',
method: 'POST',
data: formdata,
processData: false
});

$.ajax({
url: "http://localhost/s3_api/public/images",
contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8',
method: 'POST',
data: formdata,
processData: false
});
text below doesn't
seem to matter
