@Alex A Pixel 5a. Worked beautifully one day, then stopped charging, and once it powered off, never charged or powered back up again. Even had a place take it apart and hook up a known-good battery with a charge. Still won't come on.

Nothing like having your phone just decide to never power on again...

I can't get it to display and bind to it properly, though. In WPF, I just set the tag and bound to it for the value.

I'm sure I'm just being dumb. This can't be a hard thing to do.

Think dropdown with 5 hard-coded values: 1,2,3,4,5

At the moment, stupid stuff like a non-bound dropdown is plaguing me.

@ReedCopsey I'll try to make a list. I'm rewriting an entire vb6 application in Avalonia atm, so it's been an adventure. Interestingly, there is no listview control. Successfully have a multi-level (think hierarchical data template) treeview implement. That was a huge hurdle.

That's awesome. You've certainly had your share of bad experiences.

With WPF, they are always terribly useful (read: I could find my issue in minutes/seconds)

I feel like the databinding errors in Avalonia are useless half of the time.

I still haven't gotten a deploy to android to work, but I haven't spent any more time on it

I've had good luck with it lately. Usually restarting VS is the last ditch effort, but I don't seem to need to use it very often... and I've yet to have to resort to that and -still- not have it work.

And I think I copy-and-paste partial expressions most of the time

@Alex I haven't, but then again, my use of the immediate window is very minimal. Maybe once every 2-4 weeks

Hope everyone is well. My Avalonia journey continues.

I spent all evening last Friday trying to get an Android build to debug on a physical device. Never did get it working. Best I could get it to do with flash up the avalonia logo followed by a black screen. I guess something is crashing. It occurred to me the next day that I should have been looking at logcat.

I can't even begin to imagine what hell you might still be going through day-to-day, so if it's too much, feel free to tell me that you can't assist.
