@acoder the only way this is going to work, is if your images are publicly visible on your server, that the user pastes the URI (/images/cat.png), and that you prepend to it the local public root (/home/user/site/public) so that the is_file resolves to a full pathname (/home/user/site/public/images/cat.png)
