1. Make a SQL connection to the Access DB on app startup.
2. Pool SQL connections so that you have open connections whenever you need.
3. Optimize SQL queries if still needed.

Turns out somehow EF applied a migration but didn't have a record of it happening, so it's trying to do it again but it's not working because it's trying to move a table from a schema it's not in because it's already been moved

@DarthSucuk If by "draw" you mean you added something to its children, check the list of children. If by "draw" you meant you used GDI+ to manually draw the element, then it's simply there, there's no concept of "empty".

Make a datalayer that stores stuff in your database. A method of that takes a string and a byte[] and stores them as (Name, content) in the database.
Now make another class that can serialize and deserialize the picture. This class gets your code and also the reverse: take a byte[] and make a bmp.
No your controller (or whatever) takes the bmp, mangles it through the serialization, and stuffs it with its into the datalayer. Or takes it out of the datalayer, mangles it through the deserializer and sends it to the winform.
