Stackoverflow is the most fun when you sort answer on "active" instead of "votes", you will see spam usually earlier

@TimCastelijns Here's one of my self-answered Q&A where I put the attempts that didn't work in the answer instead of the question, and I seem to have gotten away with that. But it's a pretty obscure topic, not something that a drive-by viewer could say "What have you tried?" to.

There was a Meta about tag for books? I stumbled upon effective-java, which is like the Bible but the tag should be burned.

I don't get why people call that the bible anyway. Its a really useful and clearly written book among a large collection of really useful and clearly written books.

I like it because it's less One True Way-ish than most Java writings. I suppose that would make calling it a bible even less appropriate.

As for the tag, the questions should all mention "Effective Java item N" anyway, at which point the tag is redundant. 27 people have chosen to follow it, though.
