must be a bug that only mods know about: "Comments' score goes all willy nilly after deletion". Shog9's respose: "I have pulled out statistics on deleted and not deleted comments' score and found that there is a dead cat under my sofa cushions."

I still haven't forgiven shog9 for derailing the discussion like that yesterday
