@Rizier123 I think they just are lazy -- that's one of the remarkable traits of spammers; they will do their darndest to thwart one filter and then still use a completely predictable template, for example
Slightly related question: Is it right for the moderation community to be more strict with higher rep users? Should those people know better by now or should everyone be treated equally?
@TimCastelijns I think I agree on that. I like to converse with experienced users a bit more directly, but a dv/cv is deserved on the content of the post.
@DavidG i do treat users differently depending on rep, but mostly because i dont use autocomment. for instance, a user who recently got voting privs might not realize typo questions should be closed, so i wont downvote their answer but i would for a high rep

Agree. IIRC you became a mod a few days ago. I don't think declaring a war on lounge is the best way to start your modding career. sounds quite respectless
I don't get how people are using the argument that "it's always been like this" as a reason to say it's OK. Just because I stabbed someone in the face yesterday doesn't mean it's OK for me to do it tomorrow too! (OK a little hyperbole there, but you get the point)

OP asked a question and he got the solution in the comments. Now he asked the same question, just a bit different. I closed it again with the dupe and now I got a DV on it. Just too funny not to laugh about it :)
@Rizier123 Reminds me of this question. I originally had +1, then when the asker asked a follow up question in the comments and I told them to ask a new question, the upvote mysteriously disappeared and a downvote was added. Then the asker edited their question to include my answer and thank me.
