OK, I have a fiddle, but it does work successfully in Firefox. It would crash when I was trying to step through that function.

It is a part of a Jasmine spec that passes on Chrome, but fails on Safari and Firefox. I was stepping through trying to figure out why it was failing.

This is so frustrating that I can't get it to reproduce outside of the Spec and my entire project.

This a much simplified version of the code. Like I said, this works, but you can see what it's trying to accomplish: jsfiddle.net/2numb5hw

As I try to step through that each(), the $(this).text() is showing '' in a watch expression. But, the if passes as true. Then when it goes to assign lyExists = true;, it just crashes.
