I'm reading about variadic templates for the first time. Every single example shows expanding the argument pack using recursion. Is that the only way to expand the arguments?

I'm designing a system now where the main "engine" of a system is going to be an event dispatch system using a priority queue and signals and slots where the "event data" will be generic.. So my gut tells me, hey, this might be a use case for variadics.
