@oguzismail : re POSIXSHELLS and bash-only features: Sorry, but my previous employers all used very standardized Unix/Linux systems, so more code, faster, use all features was our operating model. We never had external users that we had to take into account. That has made answering Qs here difficult sometimes, as the target shell is sometimes dash or ash which are completely crippled ;-! Arg! don't get me started! ;-)! Cheers
