is it possible for me to force the same colors on an SSH terminal as the terminal i have on my host?

i've seen a lot of different instructions, but nothing about this

@AmagicalFishy if you are talking about regular curses I don't think most terminals allow you to query for the current settings, if that's what you are trying to ask

there's a solution for xterm which might work for you if your terminal is XTerm-compatible
