It's only semi-private. Anyone can join now or later. But I want advice about room owners, and I trust your judgement.

First is about retiring absentee owners. There are perhaps five or six room owners who are seldom or never here. Should they be removed?

Can you see or do you know the last time they were in the room?

They can always be added back as room owners later, so it's not that definitive if they are having their ownership rights revoked.

But if they are removed you could add them back any time?

Yes, me or any other room owner could add them back.

At least one of them is a high rep user that I know from another chat room. I'll tell him what I'm up to before I do it, I think.

Good idea. Not sure if they're notified, but if they are, they could always ask to have their rights returned I guess.

The second bit of advice I need is about adding room owners. The criteria I gave earlier were "here a lot, gets along well with others, and mature." I'm worried most about the subjective "mature" criteria. I'm looking for a kind of steadiness or deliberateness in a person's demeanor. I worry that it's too subjective a criteria, and I don't want a criteria like that to end up selecting only people that I think are like me.
