@AnderBiguri in PyVista we have plotting tests that save a reference image in a cache (tracked in git) and fails the test if the result looks different
 
Yeah, the main thing is that most of my issues will lead to a better reconstruction once solved, i.e. changing the result

same with python-matlab trasnlation, nuances in code will make them not the same. I could have tolerances, but they are not easy to pinpoint

@AnderBiguri “a bit sensationalist”? “We proved Riemann wrong!!!” — implying Riemannian geometry is wrong, but then it turns out that applying it to color perception is not the right thing to do. Meh.
“This is going to change everything!!!” — No, it won’t. TVs are based on Euclidean distances in Yuv color space, a trivial transformation of RGB. That is so far from how we perceive color, the nuanced error they found is trivial in comparison to the errors introduced for the sake of simplifying computation.
 
yeah, the article is shit
but just interesting to find a better map of the perceptive color space, that was the interesting part
