@Botler to be fair, Rider is almost never wrong

and when it is, it is usually C#'s fault

in C#, you can now specify if something is nullable

as in public String? Name { get; }

so the name is nullable

but instead, you can also make it non-nullable

as in public String Name { get; }

so, the name is still nullable... because C# is stoopid

the IDE will assume it wont ever be null, but the runtime doesnt care and still makes it null

I still wonder how they managed to mess nullability up so hard

You mean like, if you built imgur and somebody uploads a copyrighted image to it?

I mean the images are uploaded to firebase by the client

and the images are displayed on the website

If someone was to spot their image on there.. tried to sue the website.. who is essentially responsible to handle this?

the backwards compatibility part was done by introducing #nullable enable

Anyone know if there's a library for C# that can throw compilation errors for SQL queries in strings? I'm currently using the System.Data.SqlClient library and make queries like command = SqlCommand(), command.CommandText = "some sql here". Is there a way for the command text to be validated during compilation so typos/missing values/etc. are caught more easily?

In Rider there are injected languages for strings and comments, which helps a lot with sql and regular expressions

but it wont throw a compilation error
