I'm getting this error:
An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property 'Control.Show()'
code: 
private void button1_Click_1(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            pCalc toShow = new pCalc();
            Hide();
            pCalc.Show();
        }

i had to do 
toShow.Show()

I am also getting another problem
When I click the button nothing happens; nothing hides nothing shows
