@zx8754 Why that ? there's an answer, even if terse, that no there's no direct way from matrix to ggplot.

The answer being no doesn't mean a question has to be closed

from ?ggplot data: Default dataset to use for plot. If not already a data.frame, will be converted to one by fortify(). If not specified, must be supplied in each layer added to the plot.
