@zx8754 I'd say too much, if you have to take them out to have lunch with them and then you need to have them with you for evening... I mean even if it was free, I wouldn't think it was worth bringing them ;-)
though if there was some scientific stuff and/or coding courses for children that would be fun

Is there a base way of serializing an object to a string so that it can be written to a database?
Or is there a way to write raw (from serialize) to a database?
 
@RomanLuštrik serialize(list("a"), connection=NULL) would return the "raw" vector. Can your database accept raw bytes?
 
@MrFlick that's what I was thinking... Perhaps writing a blob/image would work.
 
If blobs are too much work, maybe just base64 encoding it into a string as a last resort?
