@RomanLuštrik - How do you intend on 'shipping' the shiny apps? If you're using rsconnect to upload to shinyapps.io, you just need the relevant library(youlibrary) calls at the top of the server.R and ui.R files.
and rsconnect is clever enough to recognise any libraries you've installed through github rather than CRAN

@SymbolixAU We have an app on github. So far the README lists all the dependencies explicitly but was wondering if there's a better way.

I've only ever listed the library() calls in the server.R and ui.R files, nothing more.
