yep, and good on him, he deserves it. Surprisingly he's also collected around 120 down votes last time I checked - I'm not sure why people would down vote him.

my guess is that either those 120 people want radical changes, or they dislike Martijn personally for some reason

yeah. Based on what I've seen of Martijn those down votes make me really curious about why they were cast - are they just people being totally random, or did he piss them off somehow? I guess we'll never know.

Sometimes people attempt to strategically downvote to get their fave candidate in

@yellowantphil It's a mathematical possibility. My vote accumulation rate is significantly more than the couple of guys above me, but the votes are just dribbling in now so I doubt I'll make up the difference in time.

I just watched a bunch of down votes go up and down the list. It's amusing to watch because you sit there and think "what are they going to do when they get to my name?". Pretty much everyone but vcsjones and rekire got hit.

Q: Moderator Election - Why do we reveal voting statistics while the poll is still open

With the moderator election I was worried that the first person (as you scroll down to view all candidates) would receive the most votes just due to people voting simply for the badges. I was relieved to notice that the order of candidates shuffles every time you refresh the page to help evenly...

No, I guess I should, but if I do I'd have to fix other things to feel good about it, like tied rank numbers, move the red line down (maybe?), etc. I'd rather just leave it busted.
