Microsoft Encarta came out in 1993 and was one of the first CD-ROMs I had. It stopped shipping in 2009 on DVD. I recently found a disk and was impressed that it installed just perfectly on my latest Window 10 machine and runs nicely. Anyone know if there's a good way to do a Try pattern with ref return values?

@WilliamMariager I don't think there is any specific way to handle it. I may be wrong though.
I just do try{
thing
return thing
}
Catch (Exception)
{
Return other thing
}

Yeah, it's not that simple with ref returns. Since it's a ref, it has to have a value. But I want to have something that returns an optional reference. Which sounds kinda counter intuitive, so I'm looking into other options.
In my case, I'm specifically using structs, which complicate things a bit.
